Forgings

At PWS Manufacturing we offer you an extensive range of manufacturing services.

This enables us to act as a true single source supplier for all of your precision engineering needs. Our reputation is recognized worldwide for our flexibility, turn around times, on time delivery and of course quality performance.

We supply Forgings worldwide from our plant that operates 11 hydraulic presses with up to 5000 Ton forging capacity on a 24 hour standby. This enables us to schedule for a 7-10 day delivery of most components from confirmation of order

Our largest hydraulic forging press is 5000 ton of which we have 2 units.  We have another 2 units, 3500 ton, 2 units 1500 ton and 3 units 1000 ton.  Also at the present we are commissioning another 5000 ton and another 3500 ton press.  All are oil hydraulic in operation.  We have a radial/axial ring roller to roll rings 1600mm outside diameter by 300mm face height.  For rings bigger than these we forge them out under one of our 3500 ton presses to 2000mm outside diameter by 600mm face width.

We now have in operation a new forging manipulator to make handling of the hot forge pieces quicker and easier.  This compliments our four existing units. As well as our press shop and ring rollers, we also have 10 friction drop hammers ranging in size from 1 ton through to 6 ton capacity as well as a 3 ton steam forging hammer.  We have our own machine shop with vertical borers capable of turning 12 feet diameter.

We also do vertical trepan boring of holes in sizes 4.5 inches through to 21 inches diameter over a length of 30 inches.  This service comes in very handy when you are trying to source a heavy wall hollow bar

PWS Manufacturing are a worldwide supplier of aluminum, alloy, carbon, stainless and nickel alloy open die forgings, forged rolled rings, hubs and shafts.

Our specialty services include altering the strength and hardness of the metal forging
